Will Yahoo and eBay also leave ALEC?  Corporations are starting to listen.

Yesterday, Google made international headlines when it ended its membership with the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) — an extreme right-wing lobbying group pushing climate denial legislation at the state level. Google’s chairman said they left because ALEC was “literally lying” about climate change.
Now, less than 48 hours later, Facebook and Yelp announced they’re following Google’s lead and dumping ALEC too. This is BIG! Two other major tech companies, Yahoo! and eBay, have yet to drop ALEC. You can be sure that their executives are weighing whether or not to jump ship or wait out the storm — and if they bail, it could deal a potentially fatal blow to ALEC’s influence in statehouses around the country.
Tell the CEOs of Yahoo! and eBay: End your ALEC membership today!
